Unhappy Train penalty fare

I got a fair on the train in august, i sent a chq to pay this. It was 'never received' so they sent me a reminder. I called to make a debit card payment but the systems were down!!

I sent another chq which again has not been cashed and i know have a threatening letter claiming court proceedings and my original cost has risen to 45.10 from 15.10

Are these admin fees legal. If i call do they have to accept my 15.10?

Arggghhhh I hate train companies. I tried to pay this stupid fine!!!

No. If you can prove that you sent the cheques it their their cock up. I'd
ring them on Monday, explain it all and then just pay the fare.
Next tiem just buy a ticket and save yourself the bother.
