EDF only appear to allow you to pay bills by Debit Cards and not
Credit Cards .Is this usual among energy firms . I'm intending doing a
balance transfer from one Credit Card to a new 0% one and was
intending to pay the bill on the old card before doing that so it
would be included in the BT .Now I'll need to use some other way of
doing it like using my Abbey debit card and maybe BT'ing something to
that account.

Just found that the EDF website says that you can pay by Credit OR
Debit Card .When I phoned them they said they try to promote use of
Debit Cards but they do take Credit Cards as well..

guess its down to the credit card fee being higher than the debit card fee

And here was me thinking they were doing their social conscience bit
by not accepting Credit Cards because it would get folk in to more
debt ..LOL
