I seem to have more than my fair share of problems under this
legislation.

I bought a kettle from Tesco 17 months ago - £25.

Try buying something from Aldi, their staff are programmed to say their
liability ceases after 30days, then its a manufacturers problem, and give
you a helpline number...
A small claim thru moneyclaim online soon told them it was different and I
was awarded £883 - Even then they ignored further orders till the Baliffs
knocked the door early one morning....then they tried to get the judgement
overturned because an important member of staff "who deals with those
things" was off sick. It was rejected and my costs awarded.
The sale of goods act is a bit more difficult with a kettle because just
what is the expected life of kitchen appliances these days... 15 months is a
little low, and a £15 refund sounds about the right ball park figure..
Calling expert witness's etc for a kettle,to prove otherwise might be very
very costly...

If I paid £25 for a kettle( which I wouldn't) I'd be mffed if it
packed in after 12 months

Or even 17 months
