$6.00 for $6,000 by amb9840@yahoo.com
I found this on a bulletin board and decided to try it. A little while back, I was browsing through newsgroups, just like you are now, and came across an article similar to this that said you could make thousands of dollars WITHIN WEEKS with only an initial investment of $6.00! So I thought, "Yeah right, this must be a scam", but like most of us, I was curious, so I kept reading. Anyway, it said...

Debt recovery - mistaken ID by sofa spud
Hello there I wonder if anyone can help me here. Quite simply a few weeks ago I had a letter from 1st Credit bank saying I owed them an outstanding amount for a loan I supposedly had with them . £1655 . They were instructing a solicitor to recover this debt. I spoke to them on the phone to tell them that though the name and DOB on the letter was correct I have nothing to do with this. The loan...

Cost for creating two new leases. by James
Hi Folks, What sort of cost am I looking and time scale for the following: - We are looking to convert a 6 bed house to two self-contained flats, which we want to be lease hold, so we will sell the flats with a lease and hold onto the freehold of the land. The lease on each flat would be 99 years. We currently own the property. Is that enough info?

Probate with an estate of only UKP500 by Richard Faulkner
A friend of a friend has died leaving only about £500. Her daughter is wondering if or how to go through the probate process. I have heard that you dont need to bother with such a small estate, but would have thought something needed to be done to record things? Any ideas? -- Richard Faulkner

Another victim of operation ore??? by Gaz
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/norfolk/4591850.stm It doesnt mention operation ore, but for the secretary of state to clear him (most politicians wouldnt touch with ten foot barge pole anyone accused of child pornography, innocent or guilty, whatever the evidence), the evidence must have been pretty flimsy. The coded words by the police should have people worried, one would hope they...

Vehicle warranty by อะไรà¸à¹‡à¸•าม
Happy New Year all I think I already know the answer to the query I have but need some advice anyway. I bought a 3-year old car in the last week of November for £4950 and having tested it everything seemed okay. The car was from a dealer and came with a 3 month warranty covering everything apart from consumables. Since November I have done 550 miles but there seems to be issues with the...

Jury Service by Harry The Horse
Anonymous via the Cypherpunks Tonga Remailer wrote: I heard people with criminal records are barred from jury service. The simplest way of avoiding jury service is simply to say that you will never believe the testimony of a police officer unless it is independently corroborated. That should ensure that the Crown never lets you near a jury :)

Reason 6 to despise the blairstapo by alanG
Anyone know just what powers the police have to force you out of your home? My son has just landed. After a hard day at work he got home to find the area around his flat cordoned off and nobody allowed in. The courtyard is access to 4 small blocks of flats. Told it was a crime scene and he couldn't go home. No information as to what had happened or when the occupiers would be allowed back. Just...
