sir tony
A month ago this person was crosposting across the newsgroups, vicus
lies about another user. I.ve sent a complaint to his ISP about it, but
I seems they did nothing(he still has an account & the posting are
still there).
Its it possible for Google beta group to block that account from

Legal status of purchased goods if worker steals money? by
Ian Stirling
If I go into a shop, and purchase a shiny new marble, pay, get a
reciept, and the till operator pockets my cash, and runs off to the
bahamas to enjoy their ill-gotten-gains, am I in exactly the same legal
position as if the theft had not happened? (assuming I'm entirely
unaware of the theft)

I've been hearing this rumour all my life, but no-one's ever been able
to point me to any actual legislation. I notice that someone (Tom?) has
now crossposted this...

Police van parked on bus stop by
GB
I was a bit surprised that a big white unmarked van was parked on the bus
stop outside my office all day to day. It was one of those speed camera
vans, and the Police were further down the road stopping the drivers who had
exceeded the speed limit. In the meantime, the buses could not pull in to
the stop, children were having to walk into the street to board the bus, etc
etc There were...

Handling toxic materials at work by
AN O'Nymous
Let's say you have a situation where employees at a workshop refused to
work on certain materials because it caused adverse reactions.
According to the MSDS, handling these materials requires extraction
hoods, gloves, goggles, masks, antistatic measures, etc., all of which
have been fitted. The workers are still apprehensive about working with
these materials based on past experience (when the...

Multiple aliases by
C. Señor
Is it legal to use different aliases, e.g. have a PO Box in the name of
"Fred Bloggs", apply to a mail order company in the name of "John Smith".
It wouldn't be for anything fraudulent, mainly for privacy and to confuse
companies that sent junk mail.

video evidence, adjournments etc. by
Jim Walsh
Any help/ advice with the following much appreciated:
In February 2005 I received a NIP for an alleged speeding offence. The
evidence against me was collected by a police officer using an LTI 20:20
hand held laser device.
I pleaded not guilty to the offence when the relevant court
documentation came through (August 2005) and requested the video
evidence under the rules of disclosure.
