Council Tax exempt property? by Al
When a small residential property (e.g., a flat) becomes vacant, unfurnished, and unoccupied, does it them become Council Tax exempt for 6 months - or do you only get a 50% reduction? Have the rules changed recently? Or does each county have its own rules? Thank you all AL

Hi there, I hope someone can help. 18 months ago I had the classic problem Tenant in a flat I rented, whom I eventually had to take to Court and get evicted. I was awarded the Decree against her, and she was also instructed to pay me the outstanding amount and the associated costs at a set weekly rate that she had agreed was acceptable within her circumstances.

Hi, My Car is Vauxhall Cavallier 1.8 and "J" registeration with a mileage of 150,000 with metallic silver grey colour. Another insurance Company paid my friend on a similar car with "G" reg. £1000. On 23 November, my vision was blocked by heavy rain and I happen to hit a metal post while negotiating a bend in a car park thinking that there is no such posts.

Inheritance tax when you don't have the money to pay by TonyJeffs
Suppose a single unemployed person living in rented accom inherits a house worth 300,000, but no other money, and wishes to live in the inherited property... Does he have to sell the house to pay the tax, or is there some way around it such as a charge against the house, or instalment payments? Thanks Tony

I am aware of a company who have a 'special relationship' with a certain telco over CLI records. 'Withheld' calls to that company are having the 'Withheld' flag stripped and the full CLI provided to that company. I believe this is not only a breach of Oftel regulations but also of the DPA.
