Council Tax exempt property? by
Al
When a small residential property (e.g., a flat) becomes vacant,
unfurnished, and unoccupied, does it them become Council Tax exempt
for 6 months - or do you only get a 50% reduction? Have the rules
changed recently? Or does each county have its own rules?
Thank you all
AL

Advice please - Wage arrestment recovery problems by
Dave Jennings
Hi there,
I hope someone can help.
18 months ago I had the classic problem Tenant in a flat I rented, whom
I eventually had to take to Court and get evicted.
I was awarded the Decree against her, and she was also instructed to
pay me the outstanding amount and the associated costs at a set
weekly rate that she had agreed was acceptable within her circumstances.

Help needed to deal with Hopeless Brokers Direct car Insurers by
Ch. Rajinder Nijjhar Jatt
Hi,
My Car is Vauxhall Cavallier 1.8 and "J" registeration with a mileage of
150,000 with metallic silver grey colour. Another insurance Company
paid my friend on a similar car with "G" reg. £1000.
On 23 November, my vision was blocked by heavy rain and I happen to hit
a metal post while negotiating a bend in a car park thinking that there
is no such posts.

Inheritance tax when you don't have the money to pay by
TonyJeffs
Suppose a single unemployed person living in rented accom inherits a
house worth 300,000, but no other money, and wishes to live in the
inherited property...
Does he have to sell the house to pay the tax, or is there some way
around it such as a charge against the house, or instalment payments?
Thanks
Tony

It may not work with all call centres, as some have a "presentation

car finance by

i cannot afford to pay the £118 for my car finance because of a change in
circumstances, i have told my car finance company this but they are not
prepared to re-finance my car so i can pay lower payments, this is because i
have a couple of defaults on other loans.
So what they are prepared to do is take the car back leaving me with no car,
then sell the car through the car auctions which they...

Soham ( Yawn ): Huntley & Alzheimers by
Simon T.
To continue the Huntley is not the killer
theme:
( WARNING - This is gruesome stuff and relatives of
the deceased are advised not to read further. No liability
is accepted etc. The rest of you are a bunch of
rubber-necking gawkers - so read on... )
Huntley seems to have an unusual memory

Tenants and utilities by
Take a Walk
If a tenant signs and pays for a 12 month tenancy up front, and then
at some point after disappears/goes into liquidation, who would be
responsible for any utilities consumed during that year if the landlord
did not realise that the tenant had gone.
Specifically I'm thinking of water rates which are chargeable regardless
whether the premises are occupied, and should have been paid by the...

[xposted] - Question about CLI mis-use. by
Networkguy
I am aware of a company who have a 'special relationship' with a certain
telco over CLI records.
'Withheld' calls to that company are having the 'Withheld' flag stripped
and
the full CLI provided to that company.
I believe this is not only a breach of Oftel regulations but also of the
DPA.
