mobile phone use in a car by Neil Dickson
Does anyone know exactly what the new law will be on mobile use in a car? Some say bluetooth hands free will be legal.Others tell me any use whatsoever, be it a wired -in hands-free,or whatever, will be illegal. Can anyone clarify?

Liabilities of Contents Insurance by KP
Hi, I overran my bath and caused a leak to the flat below, damaging the plaster on their ceiling. In my contents insurance there is a clause which says that tenants liabilities are covered by the insurance. My flat is leasehold and thus, I believe, have a liability to pay for any damage I do to the interior of other flats in the block.

I stated that if they wanted to collect it on monday or tuesday to collect it from my work address, or wednesday from home.. In article , Chrisr wrote: Stationary means what it says, and in criminal law these things are interpreted strictly. Cell phone problems, Ericsson is ignoring me by Sims
Hi, A short time ago i bought a Sony Ericsson P800, the reason why i got such a phone was because of the Internet and Email functions it offers, ( on business trips i mostly only need to check my emails). The phone work fine, ( I can use all the functions on the phone), the only problem is that the software that enables me to connect with my PC is worthless, the computer crashes as soon as i...

Escaping from NCP Carpark by Max Power
You would enter into a contract with the car park by entering and parking. The terms and conditions would be the signs posted all around the car park. I doubt the police would be interested in pursuing a criminal claim (can you 'steal' parking?) but NCP could at least sue you in the small claims court for their penalty fee. So I would more than likely get away with it scot free?

Paedophelia claim by neighbour by Lottery Funded
Distant relatives of mine are in an awful predicament. A close neighbour has accused their fifteen year old son of abusing the neighbour's five year old daughter. I do not know the details, whether there is evidence or mere suspicion, but I do know from reading uk.legal to take such accusations with a hefty pinch of salt. On the estate where they live however it is 'common knowledge' so...

Escaping from NCP Carpark by Max Power
IMO the best policy is to drive to the exit, say you have no ticket, refuse to pay the lost ticket charge, state your entrance time and insist on paying the £2-20 and get a time-stamped recipt. I doubt if the attendant can refuse to lift the barrier if you give him your name and address. Then it's up to NCP to write you a letter demanding their lost ticket fee, and possibly sue you...

Estoppel - Lease Problem by David Richardson
(1) I recently bought a leasehold of a flat that was constructed 40 years ago, checking the history, I find it was a condition of theoriginal planning consent that a car parking space should be provided, however, this is not mentioned in the lease. The landlord shows the same parking place on a recent planning application to the District Council, therefor they do not deny this place exists,...

Ebay again by George
Could someone answer once and for all whether ebay auctions are any different from other sales types when it comes to consumer law? Some say yes, some say no. If they are different and operate with a no come back, sold as seen system then what's to stop someone setting up a company selling on ebay and just selling items known to be faulty. Then when buyer comes back to them they can say "sorry...
