Can Barclay card deduct money from my bank account with my permission by
ß Ø ® G
I have an old debt with Barclay Card which I was in the process of
trying to sort out, the interest was more than my payment. Im on
invalidity.
Now they have take a large sum of money out of my account without
asking me, as it goes, I know this has probably been said before, it
was my sons money.
They say they posted me a letter on the 23rd of this month but the
money was removed at 1.55 pm...

That's FOUR TIMES the UK legal power limit !
Young Nick,
Why the attack on contesters? I've seen amplifiers in non-contesters
shacks that would make most contesters drool. I've seen a homebrew one
that must be good for, oh, at least 10KW. I reckon it's already been

Query on Annual Mortgage Interest calculation by

I note that some Mortgage Lenders, by default, charge their interest on
the balance of a loan at the beginning of the year rather than on a
daily basis.
For the last years of the mortgage, this can significantly affect the
true interest rate paid, in fact doubling it in the final...

No MOT on company van by
Chris Porter
Hi all, wonder if anyone can shed some lite on this.
Six months ago the company van that i have to drive failed its MOT. 3 weeks
later it was welded up and re MOT'd by the company, this I know to be
correct as I went round to the testing station to complain that this rotten
K reg reck was to be certified as road worthy. Last week some guy ran into
the back of my company van and on reporting the...

Tail End Shunt - Any excuse by

if the person in front
brakes suddenly for no apparent reason
Mentioned this a while ago.
A bus depot mechanic was on a test drive with a supervisor.
He asked if it was ok to test the brakes on the bus and the guy said yes.
Hit the anchors and a young lad on a moped was flattened on the rear end.
Bus driver was convicted. Can't remember the offence but probably Due Care
or maybe Driving...

Having all statutes online - for free by
Landtent Tenlord
Hi,
I suppose a lot of uk.legal readers/posters know that the HMSO website
contains all UK acts of parliament passed since 1988... as webpages
free for all to read and print.
What I find scandalous is that HMSO is refusing to put any older acts
online, despite promising back in 2000 that eventually all acts would
be online.

Help with violent boyfriend in sisters house by
Tony Evans
Hi everyone,
I’m a regular reader of this group and I’m hoping some one
could give some advice.
About a year ago my sister and her then boyfriend bought a house
together. The deeds and mortgage are in my sisters sole name and her
boyfriend signed a paper stating he had no interest in the property
even though he was making the mortgage payments. My sister had to move
out due to his...

theory the person in front could even stop and reverse into you
claiming you shunted then ? Unlikely I know but I have
experienced what I consider seriously deranged behaviour on a
couple of occasions over the years when drivers have used their
cars as weapons in this manner.
I`ve heard of a few people who have had that done to them (and mainly by
taxis for some reason ?!? loss...

This is a bit of an odd one - and probably there is nothing we can do but
Id be interested in comments.
My family have a very unusual surname ( in fact unique).
My brother married, and as is the norm, his wife ( who by the way had been
married before and had children by a previous marriage) took his name.
His wife is now his ex wife - she dumped him and went to shack up with
another man and...

the garage has now suggested that they can fit a new centre piece to the
roof this would involve removing the centre piece between the two outer
strips on the roof, but would not involve them having to cut pillars so the
structure of the car should be intact.
Would this be correct?

Recording Charges from Auction Statement by

I recently put some business stock in an auction and I received a
statement for the goods with the following calculations on it showing
price attained and deductions. I wish to record this in my account
book as a sale of business stock; btw I'm *NOT* VAT registered.
I'm wondering should I record that the goods were sold for £130 with a
total of £45.54 of expenses? This would seem to be what I...

fish pond and moving house by

I would have thought that on the Law Society various fixture and

fish where going to be removed.
We inherited 13 Koi when me moved here, we now have 4, thanks to a
greedy heron, and fully intend to leave them to our buyers now the
house is on the market. Looking in the fish places, they would cost
about £500 to replace, but I...
