Are a person's electoral voting history kept? by Damot
Not really a question for this group, but uk.politics.misc is just full of nutters. Is a person's electoral voting history kept? And if so who has access to them and how long are they kept for? I was asked this by a friend last night and although I'd always assumed who you vote for is a private matter, the fact is your vote is traceable so wondered if they are indeed kept somewhere.

BAE Systems - secret payments by mike.jones@hotmail.invalid.com
I've been following the story unfold in the Guardian. http://www.guardian.co.uk/baefiles/story/0,,2099990,00.html I just wonder (please God) if that nice Mark Thatcher was involved in any away. Didn't he used to be an "arms dealer" with the full support of mummy?

Can I be summonsed to a small claims court 600 miles away? by Mike D
A tenant of mine vacated a flat of mine owing rent and leaving the place damaged and in a mess. Her security deposit just about covered the rent arrears and the cost of cleaning and repairing the flat. She doesn't agree, and is threatening me with action. She now lives 600 miles away. Can I be summonsed to appear in a small claims court 600 miles away? Thanks, Mike D

It's long long overdue that money grabbers such as Sony get exposed for the crap their injecting into an already danaged society. They are not the cause, but they are pouring petrol on the flames. http://www.psu.com/node/11603 Turk182

AWOL soldiers by sk8terg1rl
Hi group, The following article reports a number of soldiers going AWOL since the Iraq war began in 2003. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.jhtml?xml=/news/2007/06/11/nawol111.xml What range of punishments can AWOL soldiers expect? Is summary execution a theoretical possibility despite the UK not having a death penalty?

"Any Dream Will Do" rigged by Turk182
Sir Andrew Lloyd Webbers "Any Dream Will Do" TV competition was rigged by production. It was not a rigged phone vote, but it was rigged by an unprovable bias in production values. Songs were used selectively that put the winner Lee in a good light, and the more dreary songs were given to Keith in the final tonight. It is not the first time this has happened in the competition. Let's be clear...

Fare evasion....Magistrates Court........is defence possible? by Seb
A few months go a friend of mine got on one of those 'bendy' buses in London with a group of friends. He doesn't normally travel on public transport in English isn't his first language. Less than an hour before he had bought a £20 PAYG Oyster Card (for which he has the timed receipt). He didn't read the signs on the bus and didn't realise that he had to touch his card against the reader. He just...

Sale of Goods Act & loyalty points by mad_rich@hotmail.com
Hi Hope someone can help. Does the Sale of Goods Act apply to 'purchases' made with loyalty points (or air miles/ vouchers etc.)? Messy Seperation by linkspider
I am going through a messy separation from my wife. I believed my wife has been unfaith, I do not trust her; I believe she is extremely calculated, manipulative and use emotional blackmail and sex to gain a weakness in an individual to exploit them for money. Her story changes every five seconds. Her general appearance may seem deceptive of a pure and loving wife, however she has a very short...
