Identity theft protection - a scam by the banks? by Peter Hucker
I was under the impression that if someone abused my credit card, or indeed my identity, that the bank would be he one to lose out, not me. So why is one of my credit cards (Tesco) repeatedly trying to sell me identity theft protection for £80 a year? Don't they have to provide this by law? In fact I have seen it in the terms and conditions of two of my other cards that it's included for...

Baby P by Nicole[_2_]
The picture of the baby that we see in papers now was the one I didn't want to see, they already showed it on the news and everywhere but his face was always blotted out, obscured by an opaque white circle so we only saw what he looked like a few days ago. I would like to know his name, knowing the names of the people who tortured him won't make any difference, but knowing his name which...

Age Of M/C Pillion Passengers by NOSPAMnet@gmail.com
It seems from what I can glean by searching that there is no minimum age for pillion passengers on a m/cycle .Does anyone know if that is correct? Why is ask is prompted by an accident local to me where a m/cycle and car were in collision and the m/cyclist died and the pillion passenger is serious in hospital and he was 7 . To me that seems rather young to be on a pillion but I suppose it depends...

Repercussions of a fixed penalty notice for theft by Nige
Several years ago, my son was given a fixed penalty notice after attempting to leave a store with goods on his trolley which hadn't been paid for. It wasn't exactly shop lifting, but it seems he did know he hadn't been charged for something and tried to leave the shop without paying for it. A security guard stopped him, called the police, and my son - largely out of embarrassment - admitted to...
