Default County Court problem

There is no need for a Witness Statement to be either sealed, or time
stamped. When serving witness statements one simply sends it direct to one's
opponent. Witness Statements should only be filed with the Court if ordered;
in any event they will usually form part of the trial bundle, and that
bundle is, of course, eventually filed with the Court.

Thanks. I have now learned that from other posters on here and
although I was wrong, it was the procedure required by the local CC
before they changed their minds. The advice here is now making this ng
by far better than the old ng and I am grateful to those here who
answer questions.

The only caveat to that is that as the witness statement was filed after
witness statements were exchanged you did need to make an application to
get the witness statement in. The statement itself as others have said
does not need a stamp.

You did get a copy of the order saying that the statement could be
allowed in?

Yes I put it in with a N244 application and I have received
notification from the court that one has gone through ex-parte. I am
now awaiting a decision on a second statement and exhibits that were
necessary because of the line the other side took in their rebuttal
thanks Benedict.

No problem.
