Probably OK, using it is a good reason for having it.

If not, what should I do with it?

Keep it at home, or if want to be able to use it whilst mobile keep it
in the toolkit of your car.

BTW be aware that when closed and locked with the knife blade deployed
the sharp edge of the knife appears to me to be on the opposite side
(Intuitively speaking) to a normal penknife IYSWIM.

With the result I nearly cut all my fingers off. :-(
