When I occasionally receive rejection messages from the Moderator I have no
way of knowing which message is being rejected. As I send quite a few posts I can't tell which post is being rejected. I have just come across a post on the group which I thought had been rejected. Can the system be improved to at least include the header to assist rejected posters? Nick |

In case it helps, all rejected messages can be found at http://www.moderation.org.uk/ if you click on Moderator Rejected Posts, uk.legal.moderated. Given that many people don't get a rejection message by email because they are not posting from a valid email address, it is a useful place to visit now and then. |

The system doesn't seem to send rejection messages by email when a submission is automatically rejected. Would it be possible to do this? Mike. -- Entia non sunt multiplicanda praeter necessitatem |

If you go to http://www.moderation.org.uk/3displayulm.php there is a list of recently rejected posts, and clicking on the link for the specific post will show you the details. -- Alex Heney, Global Villager "No good deed goes unpunished" - Clare Booth Luce To reply by email, my address is alexATheneyDOTplusDOTcom |

In point of fact, yesterday I sent 3 posts with the same heading. I presume that the post rejected was in which I commented on the fact that someone else had _incorrectly_ commented on someone's spelling. So that if my comment on that was going to be rejected I suggest that there post should have been also rejected. I didn't think that postings regarding spelling were allowed, in the first place. But to allow one where they were wrong and the original spelling was right?! Nick |

Thanks and I now see that the individual rejected message is given by clicking on the number of the rejected message. Nick |

Can the system be improved to at least include the header to assist rejected posters? As you may know, we recently moved to the new moderation software (which isn't much different to what it was before - only better /of course/ ). Previously you would get a rejection email with the rejection reason, the full post, and the full set of headers as received by the modbot. As you have a valid email address in your From: line, I am not sure why you didn't get this email. Maybe it's a feature of the new bot, or maybe the email has been switched off for some reason. Hopefully the sysadmin will find a way to revert it to how it was before. In the meantime, you can see the From: and Subject: lines, as well as the full contents (usually) of the rejected post, at the modbot website. cheers, -- Adam Upham. If you received a rejection message, you're doing better than I. I've never been able to get anything posted here. And it was on-topic too. |
