Default Irish citizens and "settled" status

Do all Irish citizens living in the UK have "settled" status (i.e.
Indefinite Leave to Remain, or ILR), or do they need to apply for it
like all other EEA citizens? The Wikipedia entry for Indefinite Leave
to Remain

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indefinite_leave_to_remain

claims that they do have settled status, but I couldn't find anything
to back this up on the Home Office website.

Thanks,

Marco

Yes, they do. They are also entitled to vote as if they were UK
citizens. Both are covered by the Government Of Ireland Act, 1921.

I made a mistake in my answer, it's the Government Of Ireland Act, 1920
not 1921.
