I sent them an email earlier as well. Hopefully we'll get replies.

I've just received this reply from the Statutory Publications
Office:-

"Thank you for advising us of this error. We have amended the
document and will republish it to the Statute Law Database website,
the corrected document should be available for viewing early next
week."

Good on you for getting this fixed.

Yay! Usenet made a difference...

I'd rather think that 'neverwas' made a difference.

Well, it was actually you who first mentioned the actual omission.. being
modest?

So neverwas *and* Dave N made a difference, possibly also several lurkers
and I would also have emailed them if it hadn't already been done.

So, overall, a difference was made. Let's leave it at that.

Default Insuring Dead Cat (was Access to CCTV (car accident))

Me too.

I take it the reply to you also had:

"I apologise for any inconvenience this has caused. "

and asked for a read receipt. I *do* like a bit of old-style civil
service desire to round off the file with an acknowledgement.

I am currently having a disagreement with Tesco Pet Insurance.

I escalated the complaint and the acknowledgment closed with:

"I would also like to thank you for allowing me the opportunity to
address your concerns"

Which I think is totally inappropriate - and particularly in light of
the fact that they have not addressed them at all.

(Cat put to sleep on January 7th. Last payment taken by DD on January
7th. Told Tesco Pet Insurance on January 9th. They insist that I
have to pay for the period January 7th until February 6th; when I
asked what eventualities they were insuring the dead cat against for
this period they could not say. I have no problem paying for the
extra couple of days - but I certainly object to a full month. They
are still looking through the Ts&Cs so that they can show me where
this cancellation policy is defined !!)

(I resisted saying the cat is dead, it is not resting, it is deceased,
it is demised, it is an ex-cat etc etc as I was quite upset at the
time)
