Accused shoplifter arrest by Geoff
Most of the idiots that are working in security in shops haven`t a clue what they are doing.. I worked in the security industry for almost 18 years the last 8 years worked as a store detective.. I never once pulled anyone because of a door alarm. Whats to say some kid hasn`t stuck a security tag on someone as a prank. Although I have seen it done numerous times by other securtiy guards.

UK Business Law: Option to Purchase - Your Help Appreciated! by Dave
I've been running a children's day nursery from a business premises for the last 3 years. I leased the property in 2003 with the option to purchase before the expiry date of January 7th 2006. Money Claim Online - what next by martin
Hi Guys I've bought a claim against a company (it may be a sole trader) and he's lodged a defence on the whole of the claim, which was in three parts with nominal compensation. Apparently the claim now gets refered to a real court, will this be in my local crown court, or is there any chance it could be refered to his local court?

Joint tenants or tenants in common? by Alan Holmes
In today's Maily Dail, on the finance pages, there was a question about the difference between these two, and the advantages in avoiding inheritance tax. How does one go about arranging this, and what disadvantages might there be? How does one go about arranging a trust which leaves the half share of the house to our children? Alan

The "Notice of Intended Prosecution" says "Exceed 30mph speed limit contrary tp section 81(1) and 89(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988" What am I liable to expect from this. Living Wills by ChrisX
According to a recent news story someone made an advance directive to be allowed to die on hunger strike. They were assessed as mentally capable of that decision at the time. They were later assessed as being subsequently mentally incapable - I suppose of continuing the hunger strike. According to their own defence team, this second assessment rendered the advance directive null (in the end the...

Motor vehicle insurance questions by Grassy Knollington
1. How can it be that an insurance company will not allow "no claims" from a motorcycle to be counted against a car insurance policy, but, they want to add a premium if you have been involved in an incident on a motorcycle, even if it was not your fault, onto your car policy. Is there any legal challenge to this obvious imbalance, i.e. if they want to count accidents on a motorbike then they...

British Transport Police by George
In answer to a recent post: Tonight on Rail Cops - a TV programme - two British Transport Police officers arrested two young pickpockets they saw in Oxford Street. They recognised them from a previous arrest on railway premises. The BTP officers were on their way to an underground station but they were actually in Oxford Street, London. So, it appears that BTP officers can act away from...
