Train Ticket Legality Question by

1. If this truly is a condition of travel - is it not invalid as the
purchaser is not made aware of this restriction at the time the
contract is made?
No. When purchasing a ticket, you know that it is subject to terms and
conditions, and it is up to you to acquaint yourself with them...

Steur said to Court: “The statement recorded in writing by Mr W.
cannot have been obtained in any other way than by the application

On THIS subject. Once and for all. If my defence team
has (and I am remaining neutral on that at this time ) made a complete
balz up of my defence to a civil action what can I do to recover
from that, viz a viz in appeal ?. Can I plead that they balzed up show
why and hope , OR do I appeal on point of law (which is available)
and THEN seek to adduce the new evidence ?.

Norman Hutchins and anti-social behaviour order (Asbo) by
Alasdair Baxter
I am very perturbed by the following news story
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/north_yorkshire/3770081.stm
where magistrates in York banned Norman Hutchins from contacting any
hospital, doctor etc. He could well die because of being afraid to ask
for medical help.
This seems very harsh since it is obvious that the man is in serious
need of psychiatric treatment and I should have thought...

Child attempted murder case by
Cynic
I am surprised that there has been no posts about this extraordinary case:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/manchester/3758209.stm
It seems strange that a person can be charged with incitement for someone to
murder *himself*, when there is no law against attempted suicide. In the
case in question, who is the victim?
It would appear that they were tried together as co-accused. That...

Witnesses in criminal trials by
Pat Winstanley
Is there a website anywhere that gives reasonably detailed information
on what a witness in a Crown Court criminal trial can claim in
reasonable compensation for things like travel costs to/from the court,
lost wages and/or holiday days etc?
Does it make any difference whether they are employed or self-employed?
Does it make any difference whether they are voluntary or involuntary
witnesses?

RIP Act = Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act

infrequent dinners also).
